Pepper Jelly Burger (You're missing out)
Ingredients
- Sourdough loaf, petite size
- Pepper jelly (Kelly’s Habenero Pepper Jelly)
- Ground beef, figure 1/3rd lb per patty (80 / 20 fat)
- Egg, just one egg
- Sprouts (WildAboutSprouts Tangy Clover & Brocolli)
- Butter
- Salt and pepper
Equipment
- Small pan
- Broiler oven
Instructions
- Form LOOSE patty, make sure it is loose and about 1/2 inch thick
- Season both sides with salt and pepper
- Bring the pan to medium heat, add a smidge of butter and melt
- Cook patty about 3-4 minutes each side, should form a nice crust
- Remove patty and allow to rest
- Lower pan temperature a tad
- Whisk egg in a bowl
- Pour into pan, allowing the egg mixture to coat entire pan like a crepe
- Once cooked (slightly eggy/liquidy on top), fold in half twice to form a quarter circle
- Slice two chunks of sourdough bread and butter and toast them in broiler until golden
- Build your burger; pepper jelly on both the top and bottom bun, next is your patty, the folded egg goes on top of the patty, then some sprouts, and lastly your top bun
Storage
- If you have extra ground beef, form some loosely balled patties and keep in the fridge
- Finish your burger
